1. Flush BIOS by turning off computer and then restarting while pressing and holding the INSERT key.
2. Press delete to enter the setup.
3. Auto-detect hard drive.

Can hard drive be detected?

YES

1. Load optimal settings for BIOS.
2. Save settings and exit.
3. If still not working, enter BIOS and load fail-safe settings.
4. Save settings and exit.

NO

1. Check cables between motherboard and hard drive. Make sure cables are tight and the red stripe is aligned with pin 1 on motherboard and toward power connection on hard drive.
2. Tap drive lightly to loosen adhesion of head to disk surface.
3. Loosen the screws holding in the hard drive slightly.
