Are there any lights on or any sound from the computer?
- Check monitor cable. Make sure
that the cable is securely fastened to the back of the computer and that the
pins are not bent.
- Check monitor power. Try another power cable if available. Try monitor in
another wall plug.
- Try a different monitor from a different machine. Try original monitor on
another computer.

- Remove and reseat video card. Try
system again.

- Remove and reseat memory.
- Make sure that memory banks are full and that all the SIMMs in a each bank
match.
- Change order of memory to single out a bad SIMM.

- Make sure all cards are properly seated in the
motherboard. Press down on all cards to ensure proper contact.
- Check power supply cables to motherboard. There are two cables from the
power supply to the motherboard. They should be fully connected and with the
black wires together.
- Remove cards one by one checking each time to see if computer beeps at all
at startup. Turn the computer off between each card. Start with the modem,
then sound card. Finish with the video card.
- Remove all peripheral cables (HDD, FDD, etc.) and try computer again.

- Check Power supply cable. Try switching with
monitor cable to test integrity.
- Check Power Supply setting. The switch on the back should be set to 110V
and not 220V.
- Power supply is not working.
